Ventnor City is a beautiful community on the Jersey Shore located just to the south of nearby Atlantic City. Ventnor City is nestled on Absecon Island between the cities of Atlantic City - America's Playground - and Margate. It is also only 10 minutes from the popular summer community of Ocean City. With the bay framing one side of the city and the Atlantic Ocean framing the other side, Ventnor City real estate offers a unique blend of both high end beachfront homes and modest residential neighborhoods.

Ventnor City's History When the original landholders of this area were trying to come up with a name for the city in 1889, a couple who had visited England were struck by the area's beauty and decided to name it for a town they had seen on their travels: Ventnor, England. The city wasn't incorporated, however, until 1903. It quickly became a destination spot for tourists due to its beautiful location on the Jersey Shore. Tourism continues to be the mainstay of Ventnor City's economy to the present day.
