Short History of Northfield
On March 21, 1905, Northfield real estate was incorporated from portions of Egg Harbor Township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature. In 1931, a small part of Egg Harbor Township was transferred to Northfield but, in 1933, was reverted back to Egg Harbor Township.
